Today, on November 1st, i had one on one session w/ Adams. He's really cool @ explaining stuff. B4 i start with how i felt about session, i would like to say something about Blogs. I think we're really in gr8 spot where we keep our blogs, because it was v ez for Adam to look at my blog, and see how i built layer upon layer of this project. It made me feel so good to see him actually reading my every single entry, starting from when i had no idea of what i wanted to do for thesis. So, i think, here blogs help out really well because things were so easier when he could just go onto any link, and click open it to see what was the update. so, i would like to thank Mike for giving us this knowledge about blogs because not only it help other instructors, but it also makes a personal diary for us to look back at, when we are done with thesis.
so, today, when i spoke to Adam that i want his opinion on my thesis, he was really glad to have a look at it. as he was going through my blog, he got the idea of how i built my story. then, as he was reading out the problems that i wrote on blog about some of the techniques that i was not sure of how i would go about approaching, he stopped right there, and opened up AE, and built that same object right in front of my eyes. since he's an expert at his stuff, it was really easier for him to do stuff. and the way he was explaining, was really making whole lots of sense. the stuff that he showed me, was exactly how i was going to approach, but he added more onto it so i get the best result out. for example, he talked about lighting and shadows, which i was not aware of while thinkig of thesis. so the way he explained, i think will really help me out in case of lighting, and shadows.
during my research, i had mentioned about "Blur" website, and the trailor of "simpsons". it had 3D flowers, and their placement in three dimensional. though it's built in maya, or i'm not sure in what software, Adam today built the same stuff right in front of my eyes, using just some images, and AE. so, overall i think it was a gr8 session.
he also liked my concept, the way i'm going to approach it, and how i'm keeping everything updated in blogs.
as soon as i'm done with animatics, i'll add that here as well, and let my instructors know to get their feedback.
